Would love to review a Brisbane restaurant, but the truth is I am such a good cook, why would I bother to waste my money to go out, being waited on, not having any dishes to do…? Other than those benefits, staying in, means I can have what I want, can't send the food back to kitchen or complain to the chef if it doesn't quite meet my expectation. Best of all, I don't have to listen to others' conversations, heightened by poor acoustics, and can relax and watch the footy, with one of my favourite bottles of wine at a price where I can drink as much as I want!
Olive St Menu Highlights of August 25, 2007:
· the refreshing taste of A Henschke's Tilly's Vineyard: a South Australian wine from Keyneton, in the Eden Valley. The bottle says from the Barossa - but that would be stretching t boundaries. It is a blended white with a really smooth rounded palette, with subtle fruit tones. A super drop!
· basil haloumi, served with strawberry avocado salad, including fresh rocket leaves from the garden to add a touch of pepper, and homemade dressing.
· the favourite footy team, the Crows beating the Brisbane Lions.
